Kawasaki India has been quite busy this year. Having launched five bikes last month it has now launched the updated Z1000 along with the Z1000 R.
The Z1000 is now BSIV-compliant, which hasn’t affected its power figures in any way. Its 1,043cc four-cylinder engine still makes 140bhp and 111Nm of torque. Kawasaki claims that it has recalibrated the bike’s ECU for smoother power delivery. The other changes for the 2017 Z1000 are the addition of a gear position and shift indicator. Its front fork settings have been revised for lighter handling and the rear brake pad material has been improved.
New to the lineup is the Z1000R. It sports a body graphics package, along with 310mm Brembo front discs with lateral grooves for better heat dissipation, gripped by a pair of Brembo M50 monobloc callipers, and a new fully-adjustable Öhlins rear monoshock.
