Aiming strongly at your goal? Found COMEDK easy? If your expectations are of a good COMEDK Result then you can easily get admission to your desired college. As analysed from the previous year results, youngsters from Bengaluru usually top the medical and engineering streams in COMEDK. While the girls topped the list in the medical and engineering courses but the boys weren’t far too. They managed to bag a position closer to the female applicants.

Statistical count suggests that seven students out of the top ten rank holders in COMEDK’s UGET for engineering seats are from Karnataka. First and second rank holders are from Bengaluru. The other ranks secured by the Karnataka students are fifth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth.Among the first 100 rank holders, 56 are from Karnataka and the remaining are 44 candidates are from other states and 417 out of first 1000 rank holders are from Karnataka and the remaining 583 are from other states.

Considering the exact statistics of COMEDK Result, the performance of the applicants has always been remarkable in the entrance wherein top 1000 rank holders in COMEDK score around 70%. While around 1300 applicants secured between 66% -70%. Around 2000 candidates lie between the range of 60%-65% mark holders. Decide wisely and prepare well for the category you want to be in!

Discussing about the success of the students in the exam, many toppers from KCET have also topped the COMEDK. However, most of them choose government colleges over the private one’s due to monetary reasons. Most of the seats through COMEDK remain vacant due to this reason. Another reason why, COMEDK colleges do not receive the expected number of candidates is the desire of scholars to be a part of IITs-thus they aim at admissions through JEE Advanced.

Toppers qualifying COMEDK 2017 share their strategies

Alike all other toppers, the students who qualified COMEDK with flying colours this year, share their preparation strategies. The common mantra followed by the candidates comprised following a right study schedule, solving model question papers and regular coaching for national level exams. This helped them crack COMEDK UGET. Most of them, however, aim to secure a seat in the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) and were awaiting the results of the Joint Entrance Test (Advanced) results.

Let’s see what toppers have to share with the students who desire and aim securing admissions through COMEDK:

MayankBaranwal bagged the first position in COMEDK this year with a score of 165. He has done his schooling from Delhi Public School (South)- CBSE student. He secured 1288th rank in JEE Main but managed a remarkable performance in COMEDK. He says, “I am keen on joining an IIT. I have also appeared for other competitive entrance exams. I was expecting a good rank in COMEDK, though I did not expect to top.”. He has planned to pursue computer science engineering. He has focus set on the cyber security and aims to work on ethical hacking.

Vishwajit Prakash Hedge- who doesn’t know him? He bagged the top rank in class XII (SSLC) results with a score of 623 out of 625. He performed no less in COMEDK, he bagged the second position and managed to be amongst the top rankers. He was a student of DeekshaCenter for Learning, Kanakpura. An add-on to his achievement list is that he obtained 98.33% in II PU. He says, “I am waiting for my IIT-JEE results. Depending on the ranking, I will choose the college and the branch.”

RudrapatnaVallabhRamakanth, a student of Sri Kumaran Children’s Home, Kanakapura Road, secured the third rank. He said that he was still in dilemma over whether he would take up engineering or pursue research. Asked about the strategy he employed while studying for the exams he said, “I studied a little every day, focused on my weak points. Once I overcame these, I gave equal time to each subject.” He attributes his success to his parents, friends and teachers.

KirthiRachakonda, a student of National Public School, Indiranagar,is elated that she secured the 4th rank. She was not expecting a score of 162 marks, even though she studied eight hours a day in the two months leading to the exam. Kirthi is keen on pursuing engineering at an IIT. She aims to be an electronic and communication engineer.

Sucheth M. Kuncham, the second rank holder of the engineering stream plans to give up his COMEDK seat as he is banking on his good CET ranking to get a seat. “There was a lot of persistence involved. We don’t have power connection at home, and I used to study with the help of a solar lantern and a torch. Hopefully, the government will take notice of this,” said an avid cricket fan who plans to pursue a future career in the DRDO.

The second rank holder in the medical stream, HemanthAmardeepSanthoor, a student of National Public School, Indiranagar, said that he has already chosen to study at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER). Aspiring to be a neurosurgeon, he said, “Consistent studies, understanding conceptual intricacies and constantly practicing Multiple Choice Questions have helped me”

The medical topper, NeeliDevee Krishna Sashidhar from Vijaywada in Andhra Pradesh, candidly admitted that he expected to top this exam.He mentioned that he studied for 15 hours a day and was happy on his achievement. Hailing from a family of doctors, Sashidhar aspires to be a cardiologist.“I will, however, wait for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences results before I make my decision,” he added.
